There was once a little performance art piece I did on the Star Trek convention circuit. I performed it about a dozen times all told, in league with my dear pal, terrific makeup artist John Paladin. And though I don’t perform it anymore, one day, at the suggestion of a good friend, I decided to record it, tossing in the the tale of how it came to be, plus another tale or two, for posterity.
Now, no question about it: “The Poor Dead K’Ehleyr Show” is an oddball of an audiobook:
It’s a thirty-five minute odyssey strewn with Trek Tales — that is, some behind-the-scene stories from my journeys through guesting as four different alien species, tales that include people like Gene Roddenberry and Michael Westmore — and then, most saliently, featuring:
THE RETURN OF K’EHLEYR.
She speaks to us from beyond the Veil, with a tale or two of her own to tell.
(As written and performed by me, SP.)
I had a ball creating this little audiobook — yep, just for Star Trek fans! —
and I sure do hope you guy’s’ll think it’s a fun ride.
It’s available EXCLUSIVELY here on my website.
